Jonathan J Clark's story, thoughts & encouragement.

My
Story
Hello, it's Jonathan Clark here. I've been visiting St BARTHOLOMEW'S HOSPITAL LONDON a lot recently, and in December 2023 I spent a month here as an in-patient, having a Stem Cell transplant. Bart's was founded in 1123, by Rahere, who received a heavenly vision to go and build a church and a hospital. It's now the 900th anniversary! A little more recently my wife, Dr Mary Clark, trained here. After 30 years of helping to lead churches in Liverpool, Clacton, London, Leeds, Bangkok and Paris, we now have a new frontline where we want to live well as followers of Jesus Christ.
Having retired to Frinton-on-Sea in May, and facing a year out to receive a Stem Cell Transplant, it is easy to feel that our lives are fizzling out. How do we, like St Paul, 'PRESS ON toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus'? How do we keep growing and not give up?
We want to share this journey with our friends, and would love the support of your prayers.
